Custom Quartz Countertops & Kitchen Update

A multi-phase remodel featuring a custom quartz slab from Acme Stone, a lowered bar-top island, and a planned bathroom renovation — designed around the client's needs and timeline.

Before the project

When Jennifer first reached out, she had a clear vision: replace her existing kitchen countertops and lower the elevated bar-top island that no longer fit how she and her husband used the space. But beyond the scope of work, there was something more important shaping how this project needed to be handled — Jennifer and her husband were navigating ongoing cancer treatments and medical appointments throughout the process.
From our very first conversation, it was clear that keeping this project organized, low-stress, and easy on the family wasn’t just a nice-to-have — it was the priority. We took the time to listen, plan thoughtfully, and coordinate the work in a way that gave Jennifer flexibility and peace of mind. Communication was open, expectations were clear, and our team was aligned on making the project feel as seamless as possible from start to finish.
Before any work began, we walked through the kitchen with Jennifer, confirmed the island modification details, and set her up with our tradesman Matt to pick out the perfect quartz slab at Acme Stone in Tampa.

Our Work

Scope Of Work

1. Quartz Slab Selection

We met Jennifer at Acme Stone in Tampa to walk through the available quartz options together. Choosing the slab in person allowed her to see the exact veining, tone, and movement before committing — and we adjusted the original allowance pricing based on her final selection.

2. Existing Countertop Removal

We carefully removed the existing kitchen countertops and prepped the cabinets and surrounding areas for the new install. The space was protected throughout the process to keep the home clean and disruption to a minimum.

3. Island Modification

The elevated bar-top portion of the island was lowered to create one continuous, flush surface. This involved reframing the raised section, leveling the base, and prepping the island to receive the new quartz top — opening up the space and improving the kitchen’s everyday functionality.

4. Custom Quartz Countertop Installation

We installed the new custom quartz countertops throughout the kitchen, including the modified island. Each piece was templated, cut, and fitted precisely for clean seams, accurate edges, and a polished final look.

5. Final Detailing & Cleanup

We sealed the seams, reinstalled the sink and fixtures, double-checked every edge and surface, and cleaned up the entire workspace — leaving Jennifer’s kitchen ready to use the same day.

After Our Work

When the work was done, Jennifer’s kitchen felt like a completely different space. The lowered island opened up the room visually and made it far more functional for everyday use — no more awkward bar-top divide separating the cook from the rest of the kitchen. The new custom quartz countertops brought a clean, modern look that tied the entire space together and gave the kitchen the refresh Jennifer had been envisioning from day one.
The quartz slab she selected at Acme Stone fit the space beautifully, with consistent veining and a polished finish that made the whole kitchen feel brighter and more open. Every seam was clean, every edge was crisp, and the transition from the modified island to the surrounding countertops looked seamless.
It’s a project we’re really proud of — not just for the craftsmanship, but for how well the finished result matched the vision Jennifer had when she first reached out. From our very first conversation, it was clear that keeping this project organized, low-stress, and easy on the family wasn’t just a nice-to-have — it was the priority. Custom Quartz Finish

The hand-selected quartz slab from Acme Stone brought consistent veining, a clean finish, and a modern look that elevated the entire space.

Better Everyday Function

The new island layout works the way Jennifer actually uses her kitchen — more usable counter space, easier prep, and a more natural flow for cooking and entertaining.

A Stress-Free Process

From slab selection to final install, the project stayed on track and out of Jennifer’s way — letting her focus on what mattered most while we handled the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers From a Tampa Bay Contractor You Can Trust

Years of remodels, repairs, decks, and docks taught us one thing: homeowners deserve clear answers before any work begins. If your question isn't here, give us a call and we'll walk you through it.

What kind of projects do you take on?

Big or small — we handle kitchen and bathroom remodels, countertop installations, custom decks, docks, trim and finish carpentry, general home repairs, and a wide range of handyman services across the Tampa Bay Area. If it's part of your home and it needs to be built, fixed, or upgraded, we've likely handled one like it before.

Where do you work?

We serve homeowners throughout the Tampa Bay Area, including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and surrounding communities. Being local means faster scheduling, quicker site visits, and easier follow-ups when something needs a second look.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes — free, no-pressure, no-obligation estimates on every project. We'll come out, look at the work, ask the right questions, and give you an honest price in writing. If anything changes once we're underway, we tell you before we touch it.

How much will my project cost?

Pricing depends on the scope, materials, and finishes you choose — a countertop swap and a full kitchen remodel are very different projects. What doesn't change is our pricing philosophy: fair prices for quality work, with clear estimates and no hidden surprises.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — we're fully insured, and we pull permits with the local municipality whenever a project requires one. We're happy to share insurance documentation before any project begins so you have complete peace of mind.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Absolutely — we stand behind every project with one of the best warranties in the Tampa Bay Area. If something isn't right, we make it right. Quality and accountability are part of how we do business.

Do you take on small jobs, or only big projects?

Both. A loose railing, a dripping faucet, a single trim board — those are real problems, and we'll fix them properly. We treat a one-hour repair with the same care as a full remodel.

How quickly can you start?

For most repairs, within a few days. Larger remodels and custom projects get scheduled out further depending on the season and material lead times. When you request a quote, we'll give you a realistic timeline — not a promise we can't keep.

What's the best way to get on the schedule?

Request a free quote through the form on our site or give us a call directly. Either way, you'll talk to a real person who knows the work — not a call center.
