Out With the Old, In With the Barn Door
This homeowner was ready to move on from a standard swinging door separating the laundry area from the main living space. The existing setup felt bulky, blocked light, and didn’t match the updated look of the home.
They were looking for something that would add more character and visual interest, allow light to pass between rooms, and improve functionality in a tighter space. We handled this as a full door conversion — not just a swap.

Scope Of Work
1. Full Door and Frame Removal
We removed the existing door along with the entire jamb and casing to start fresh. This gave us a clean slate and avoided trying to work around outdated trim.
2. New Trim & Casing Installation
We installed new 1×6 jamb material along with updated casing to properly frame the opening for the barn door application. Everything was fitted, prepped, and painted for a clean, finished look.
3. Barn Door Assembly & Installation
The client selected a modern frosted glass panel barn door with black hardware. We assembled the door system, installed and secured the track, hung and adjusted the door for smooth operation, and installed floor guides to keep everything aligned.
